Visitors from inside and outside Iraq on Thursday, the twenty-eighth of the month of Safar, commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) at the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) in Karbala.
The roads leading to the two holy shrines and the entrances to the Old City in Karbala witnessed large crowds of visitors from inside and outside the country to visit the holy shrines and offer condolences on this sad anniversary.
During the past days, the holy city of Karbala has received millions of visitors coming from all over the world, to commemorate the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), to embody a manifestation of loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has used its efforts to cover the needs of visitors by providing security and health services, as well as providing food and drinking water, in addition to other logistical matters.
