The Department of Courtyard Care begins to remove the signs of grief from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

The staff of the Department for the Holy Courtyard Care of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine began to remove the signs of grief from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) at the arrival of the month of Rabi ' al-Awwal.

The head of the Department; Sayed Khalil Mehdi Hanoun, said that "our staffs have begun to remove the signs of grief represented by the black banners hung in the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), coinciding with the end of the two months of grief and the arrival of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal for the year (1445 AH)".

He added that "the work began by lowering the Black Flag and raising the red flag on top of the holy dome, and then lowering the banners hanging on the walls of the holy sanctuary, in addition to starting the process of washing, cleaning and perfuming the holy sanctuary and basements".

"The black banners that have been removed will be wrapped and handed over to the Department of Gifts and Vows at the Holy Shrine, which in turn will distribute it as blessing gifts," Hanoun added that the work of the black banners for next year has begun".
