The people of Karbala commemorate the martrydom anniversary of Imam al-Askari (peace be upon him) at his holy shrine in Samarra

The procession of the people of Karbala commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him) at his holy shrine in the city of Samarra.

The head of the Husseini rites and processions Department in Iraq and the Islamic world affiliated with the holy shrines of imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them); Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said that the procession of the people of Holy Karbala, in cooperation with the two holy shrines, recorded a distinctive presence in commemorating the sad anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him) at his holy shrine in the city of Samarra".

He added that the people of Karbala used to start their march with a unified condolence procession to extend condolences to Imam al-Mahdi; Master of the Order and Time (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance) on this sad anniversary.

He explained that the condolence procession was attended by the Hussayni parties and bodies of Karbala, in addition to the people of the province, as the mourners which were lined up in the form of groups, held a council of condolence in the courtyard of the holy shrine of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari (peace be upon them), which included the recitation of a number of poems and elegies embodying the depth of this painful tragedy.

He explained that the two holy shrines have exhausted efforts to provide various services to the visitors of the Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari (peace be upon them), and participate in the process of delegating visitors,"he said.
