The Al-Kafeel Nurseries Group reaps the fruits of its date palms to supply the local market

The staffs of Al-Kafeel Nurseries Group have started harvesting the fruits of their date palms at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to supply the local market.

The Group's official; Sayed Mohammad Harbi, said that"the Group's specialized staff began harvesting the palm fruits grown inside the nurseries in three stages: the first is to harvest the (dates) crop in conjunction with the date picking season, the second is to harvest the (kharmoush) crop and store it in refrigerators to be marketed later, and in the third stage the (Jisb) date crop, which may be sold directly or stored.

He added that"the nurseries contain many rare varieties, which the local markets lack, in addition to other rare species".

The Al-Kafeel Nurseries Group contributes to supplying the local markets with rare date varieties by increasing the local product and dispensing with the imported one, which contributes to achieving self-sufficiency.
