A statement issued by the Office of Sayed al-Sistani regarding the terrible fire incident in Hamdaniya district

The Office of the Supreme Religious Authority; His Eminence Sayed Ali al-Hussayni al-Sistani, issued a statement regarding the horrific fire incident in Hamdaniya district in Nineveh Governorate.

The statement is as follows:

In the name of God the most Merciful, the most Compassionate
(we belong to God and to him we shall return)

The supreme religious authority expresses its deep sorrow and regret over the terrible fire incident that occurred in Hamdaniya district and resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of victims, and while offering its condolences to the bereaved families and expressing solidarity with them, it asks Almighty Allah to bestow patience upon their hearts and include the victims with His mercy and grant the injured a speedy recovery. There is no might or power except with Allah.
