The head of the national initiative for energy efficiency, support and emission reduction team, Dr. Jassim al-Falahi, confirmed that the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine is one of the most important supporters of voluntary work.
Al-Falahi said that"the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine has a great impact in the field of voluntary work and encouraging the concepts of sustainable cities, through cooperation in the establishment of green belts, combating desertification, and solar energy production projects".
He added,"Our team was honored to visit the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and meet with its Senior Official; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, and we listened to the great advice provided by His Eminence to support volunteer initiatives, and we also got acquainted with the most prominent achievements achieved by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in its sustainable projects".
"We presented a vision and a summary of the national voluntary initiative, which aims to enhance community participation in the application of renewable energy concepts and improve their efficiency,"he added.
The National Initiative team includes more than 5,000 officials, including undersecretaries of ministries, general managers and employees, in addition to key, awareness and media teams, ISO energy and ISO environment teams and other community support teams.
