The Department of Intellectual Affairs announces the names of the winners of the Ashura photography competition around the world

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced the names of the winners of the Ashura photography competition around the world.

The director of the Haqeebat al-Mo'min center of the Department, Mr. Ali al-Jayashi, said that"the announcement is for the first four winning photos in the Ashura photography competition around the world launched by the center, as voting was opened to the public for 30 day throughout the month of Rabi al-Awal".

"The public voted along with the competent jury on (50) previously screened photos out of (832) participating photos, as the voting was based on 60% of judges' scores, and 40% of the public's voting,"he added.

The Winners are:

The first place: Montadhir Ali al-Waeli -Iraq.

The second place: Abbas Taleb Hassan -Iraq.

The third place: Mojtaba Getti Nejad -Islamic Republic of Iran.

The fourth place: Mehdi Taheri - Islamic Republic of Iran.

Al-jayashi explained that "the center allocated financial prizes for the winning photos, the value of the prize for the first place was (800) dollars, and the prize for the second place was (600) dollars, and the third place was awarded (400) dollars, so the fourth place came with a prize of (200) dollars, in addition to souvenirs and blessings provided by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine".
