Conclusion of the morning session of the first day of the Karbala international scientific heritage conference

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine concluded the activities of the morning session of the first day of the Karbala international scientific heritage conference with its second edition.

The conference activities are supervised by the Karbala Heritage Center of the Department of Islamic and Humanitarian Knowledge Affairs at the holy shrine, and the conference is held under the slogan (Our heritage is our identity).

The conference was attended by a number of officials of the holy shrine, hawza and academic figures, and began with the reading of verses from the Holy Quran and the Fatiha surah by of the reader; Sayed Haydar Geloukhan, followed by a speech to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by the head of the Department, Sheikh Ammar al-Hilali, followed by a speech to the preparatory committee delivered by A.M.Dr. Falah Abdul Ali Serkal.

Within the conference, research sessions were held, chaired by A.Dr. Ali al-Hajji and its rapporteur was M.Ammar Abd al-Abbas. The first research was entitled: (The scientific movement in the Holy Karbala) by His Eminence Sayed Hussein al-Hakim from the Hawza in Najaf Al-Ashraf, the second research was by His Eminence Sheikh Ali Hassan Yaseen from the Hawza in Lebanon, and the third research by Professor Dr. Sami al-Madhy from Mustansiriya University-Faculty of Arts.

The conference included the presentation of a documentary and another video to introduce the knowledge department, its heritage centers and its divisions, the stages of preparation for the conference and its publications.

The conference witnessed an exhibition of illustrated written copies (manuscripts), which aims to introduce a part of the Karbala scientific movement, composed, copied and investigated, in the tenth century AH.
