The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, together with a delegation from the state of Nigeria, discussed enhancing communication and understanding with African communities, and clarifying the features of religious and national identity.
This came through the reception of the director of the African Studies Center of the Department, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, to Dr. Ibrahim al-Muazzam Abdullah from Nigeria, accompanied by a delegation of African Religious Science students in Najaf.
Al-Shammari gave an overview of the center's activities and goals in the African continent, and explained how to implement the religious, intellectual and humanitarian programs that it is working on, pointing to the role of the center in sponsoring and implementing many community programs in several African countries.
He pointed out that all our projects and programs are under the auspices of the general secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, stressing the center's commitment to enhancing communication and understanding with African communities, enhancing the features of authentic Mohammadian Islam in those countries and clarifying the features of religious and national identity.
For his part, Dr. Ibrahim al-Muadham expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and intellectual and humanitarian care provided by the holy shrine and the center, praising the great efforts and responsibility borne by the center in spreading and consolidating authentic Mohammadian Islam and in caring for the African Human.
