The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine concludes the activities of the fourth international Al-Kafeel Museum conference

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine concluded the activities of the Al-Kafeel International Museum conference, with its fourth edition under the slogan (museums are a cultural identity).

He supervised the activities of the conference, which was held in the Hall of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba(peace be upon him), the Al-Kafeel Museum of treasures and manuscripts at the holy shrine, and was held under the slogan (museums are a cultural identity).

The closing events of the conference witnessed the presence of the director of the Office of the Senior Official; Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, a number of officials of the holy shrine, scientific and academic figures, researchers and museum specialists from inside and outside Iraq.

The activities of the fourth edition of the international Al-Kafeel Museum conference, which lasted for two days, included a discussion of twenty papers, which revolved around the role of museums in preserving the cultural heritage, their design and the promotion of local and virtual culture on social networking sites, in addition to the role of Museum Media in promoting cultural identity, and a topic entitled: museums cultural challenges and prospects in the time of the pandemic, as well as museums and their role in sustainable development and dialogue of civilizations, and other topics related to maintenance and their role in preserving Museum Holdings, and the educational mission of museums and their role in rooting cultural identity.

The events of the first day of the conference included a speech by the general secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, a speech by the General Authority for antiquities and heritage, a speech by the Arab Organization of museums (ICOM), and then a documentary film about the Al-Kafeel museum was shown, followed by a speech by the Department of the Al-Kafeel Museum of treasures and manuscripts, after which the audience listened to the speech of the scientific committee, and the speech of the participating arab and foreign delegations, followed by three research sessions during which a range of research was discussed.

The second day of the conference included two morning sessions and an evening session during which twelve papers were discussed, as well as the closing session during which the final statement of the most important results and recommendations of the conference was announced, in addition to honoring researchers, specialists and participants in the conference .
