The Department of Education holds the annual free drawing on the martyrdom anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her)

The Department of Education and Higher Education at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held an annual free drawing in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her).

This event comes within the activities of the sixteenth edition of the Fatimi season of sorrows, in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), which is held by the Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions and Bodies of the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayni and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and lasts for the period from (10th Jumada Ula) to (3rd Jumada Thaniya).

The assistant head of the Education Department and director of the Al-Ameed Group for boys; Dr. Haydar Hussein al-A'raji, said that "the Al-Ameed Educational Group has always participated in commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), through several events, including participation in this panoramic scene, through the (annual free drawing) event for the learners of the Al-Ameed educational group schools".

He added that"the participation is represented by contributions from the learners of the various boys 'and girls' schools of the group, through which they reflect their simple ideas of this sad incident, and the extent to which children are attached".

He continued, " the learners reviewed their paintings through this event, and showed through them the incident of burning the door and breaking the rib, and other sufferings and injustices suffered by Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her)".
