The Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine continues rehabilitation and afforestation works in the northern green belt project

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues rehabilitation and afforestation works in the northern green belt project with a length of (4) km on the Karbala-Baghdad road.

The agricultural supervisor on the project, Mr. Abbas Mohammad al-Baghdadi, said that"the holy shrine's staff continues the rehabilitation and afforestation works for the northern green belt project, which includes the development of a distance of (4) km, divided on both sides of the (Karbala – Baghdad) road".

He added that " the works included planting a green oasis and more than (370) palm trees, as well as developing a line of eucalyptus trees and enhancing the project with an advanced watering system supplied with water through aquariums," pointing to "resorting to drilling wells in the future; in order to provide water continuously, and to face the shortage during the summer season."

"The future vision of the northern green belt project includes the addition of other types of plantings, such as fruit and Sidr trees, increasing the number of Palms and eucalyptus trees, as well as creating green spaces to receive families from the surrounding areas,"he added.
