Al-Kafeel University achieves progress in the classification of the greenmetric

Al-Kafeel University has achieved significant progress on the world stage in the results of the Green Metric ranking for the year 2023.

The University ranked (386) globally out of (1183) participating universities, with an advance of (115) ranks from the previous ranking, and the tenth place among (74) Iraqi public and private universities, and advanced to the second place among Iraqi private universities.

This achievement comes within the framework of continuous efforts to develop, after the university was ranked (501) in the world in the previous ranking of 2022, with the seventeenth place among (77) participating Iraqi universities, and the second place among Iraqi private universities.

The "UI Greenmetric" rating is based on infrastructure criteria by 15%, energy and climate change by 21%, waste by 18%, water by 10%, transport by 18%, education and research by 18%, as well as sustainability, environment, green spaces and energy consumption.

These results reflect the continuous effort exerted by the university towards enhancing environmental performance, and reflect the continuous improvement in all environmental aspects that indicate the University's commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
