The Umm al-Baneen Medical Center (peace be upon her), affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, provided various medical services to a group of orphans from Basra governorate.
Dr. Ali al-Adeeb, a specialist in dentistry at the center, said that "the center provides various medical services to the orphans segment on a weekly basis, and today it provided its services to a group of orphans from Basra governorate".
He added that "the services provided include focusing on the Prevention of tooth decay, such as teaching children to use toothbrushes and toothpaste correctly, as well as how to use medical dental floss and liquid (Fisher silent) substance that is placed in the grooves of the teeth to prevent the collection of food residues".
He continued that "the center's program begins at eight o'clock in the morning by reading verses from the Holy Quran, then hosting the children for breakfast, then heading to the sports arena to play and have fun to break the barrier of fear of treatment for them, then returning them to the waiting hall to hear audio clips that increase psychological comfort and clarity of spirit and mind for them, and then start treatment".
Al-Adeeb pointed out that"the center has provided modern and advanced devices that increase the speed and accuracy of diagnosis by the doctor, for many pathological conditions, such as dental caries and congenital malformations in the jaw".
