The Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine honors 800 female students who wear the Islamic abaya

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine honored 800 female students wearing the Islamic abaya as part of the ninth annual cultural festival of the Lady. Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) at the University of Baghdad.

The festival was organized by the public relations department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, represented by the University and school relations department.

The official of the University and school Relations Division in the relations department, Mr. Maher Khalid, said that"the division has prepared an integrated program that included honoring 800 female students of the University of Baghdad wearing the Islamic Abaya on campus".

"Al-Kafeel cultural youth stations, which last for three days, were opened on the sidelines of the festival, dealing with book, photo and Manuscript exhibitions, as well as stations for training students in first aid with the participation of the Departments of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine,"he added.

The festival was held to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) at the University of Baghdad and to introduce her great personality in the university environment and encourage students to wear the Islamic abaya to follow the example of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) and revive her biography.

The festival, which is an initiative of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to highlight the culture of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Iraqi universities, witnessed a research seminar on Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her), a book exhibition, as well as poetic activities and religious Muwashahat and the opening of the Al-Kafeel Youth stations in the corridors of the University.
