The evening session kicks off from the events celebrating the International Day of the Arabic language

The Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association launched the evening session of the events celebrating the International Day of the Arabic language, in the Hall of Imam al-Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) inside the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and this session was marked by the recitation of a set of poems.

The events are held under the auspices of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine under the title (our Arabic is the Lady of languages), in the presence of a number of heads of departments of the holy shrine, researchers, specialists and those interested in the Arabic language.

The head of the Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association, Professor Dr. Riad Tariq Al-Amidi, said that"the evening session includes a poetry evening in which nine poets from the provinces of our beloved Iraq participate, all their poems sing about the love of the Arabic language, its glories, heritage, and its past, and this coincides with the International Day of the Arabic language".

He added that "the participating poems are concerned with the importance of the Arabic language and its continuous development, and its ability to renew itself according to different contexts, times and places, and the glorification of this language comes as the language of the Holy Quran and the mother tongue, unlike some languages that have faded and disappeared due to various time factors and the linguistic problems it has encountered".

For his part, the poet Qasim Wali, one of the participants, said, "I came by a kind invitation from the Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association to participate in the events celebrating the International Day of the Arabic language, and I wrote a poem entitled 'Allah's choice' related to the Arabic language, which is the words of Allah in the Holy Quran and the words of infallible imams (may Allah's prayers be upon them), and the choice of Allah cannot be discussed nor know its mysteries and reason".

He added that "the words mentioned in the Holy Quran and in the words of the messenger of Allah and the infallible imams(may Allah's prayers be upon them) have an apparent and an inner, people may receive the apparent, but the inner and the secrets of language and the secrets of speech they (peace be upon them) alone have".

"The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is always proactive in establishing intellectual, scientific and literary activities,"he added.
