At the Al-Kafeel Hospital, an emergency operation saves the life of a young man suffering from a tumor in the internal cavity of the brain

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital conducted an emergency surgical intervention for a young man who was unwell due to a brain tumor.

A specialist in neurosurgery at the hospital, Dr. Khaled al-Sarraj, " we performed an emergency surgical intervention for a twenty-year-old patient who was referred to our hospital from Qadisiya governorate, where he was suffering from a brain tumor that caused pressure on the cavities of the brain and skull," adding that "this intervention was not easy because we received the patient in a state of unconsciousness."

"The surgical intervention was performed as an emergency to preserve the patient's life, as a brain valve was implanted through it, after which the patient regained consciousness fully," he said, noting that "the techniques possessed by the hospital and the speed of medical procedures play a big role in the success of this operation."
