The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine launches the activities of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) cultural festival in India

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has launched the activities of the seventh annual cultural festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in the Indian city of Mumbai.

The festival is held at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine under the slogan (The Commander of the Faithful - peace be upon him – Harun Imamate and the witness on the day of resurrection); on the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), at the Mukul mosque-in Mumbai and lasts for three days; with the aim of spreading the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their knowledge.

The festival began with a fragrant recitation from the Holy Quran by yhe reader of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Haydar Gelokhan, followed by the speech of the holy shrines in Iraq participating in the festival was delivered by the member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Dr. Abbas al-Dadah al-Mousawi, followed by the speech of the imam of the Mukal mosque; Sayed Najib al-Hassan al-Zaidi, followed by the speech of the representative of the supreme religious authority in India; Sayed Ahmad al-Abidi.

The festival's activities witnessed the honoring of people whose names were marked with one of the names or tributes of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), by the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine, which is one of the additions to this edition.

During the ceremony, the flags of the domes of the holy shrines in Iraq were raised by the head of the delegation of each shrine in the presence of the followers and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in Mumbai, followed by the opening of the book exhibition, which includes five pavilions, each shrine has its Pavilion.
