The activities of the second day of the Commander of the Faithful Festival (Peace be upon him) have started in the Indian state of Mumbai, which is held by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine with the participation of the holy shrines in Iraq.
The festival bears the slogan (The Commander of the Faithful - peace be upon him – Harun Imamate and the witness on the day of resurrection); in order to celebrate the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), at the Mokal mosque in Mumbai, India, and lasts for three days; with the aim of spreading the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their knowledge.
The ceremony began with a beautiful recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran by the reader of the Kadhemiya Holy Shrine; Sayed Baqer Ahmed Sahr, followed by a speech by the holy shrines in Iraq, delivered by their representative, the head of the delegation of the Kadhemiya Shrine Sheikh Uday al-Kadhimi.
The ceremony included the distribution of meals to those present from the followers and lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) located in the city of Mumbai, as well as the gifting of paid coupons to visit the holy shrines in Iraq, and concluded with the chanting of poems and hymns for this auspicious occasion.
The events of the first day of the festival witnessed honoring people whose names were marked with the names of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), raising the flags of the domes of the holy shrines in Iraq, as well as the opening of the book exhibition, which includes five pavilions, one for each shrine.
