The Department of Intellectual Affairs holds a seminar on renouncing extremism in the narrations of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine held a seminar entitled (Dialogue and its impact on renouncing extremism in the narrations of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them)).

The seminar is organized by the Iraqi Center for the documentation of extremist crimes of the department, in cooperation with the Imam al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) College of Islamic Sciences in the Hall of the Imam al-Murtadha (peace be upon him) complex, affiliated with the holy shrine in Najaf Al-Ashraf governorate, and witnessed the attendance of a number of academics and youth elites.

The seminar was attended by Dr. Hussein al-Ziadi from Dhi Qar University and Dr. Abbas al-Quraishi, and was moderated by Dr. Nasir al-Saadi from Imam al-Kadhem college (peace be upon him), and included a statement of the foundations of dialogue and methods of renouncing extremism practiced by the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

Al-Saadi said that the seminar comes within the activities of joint cooperation between the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine and Iraqi universities, and praised the role of the Holy Shrine in documenting extremist crimes through the Iraqi Center, and its continuous work in promoting dialogue and renouncing extremism.

The seminar comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to combat extremism, spread the message of peace and tolerance, and promote a proper understanding of the religious and cultural heritage of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), in Iraqi and Islamic Society in general.
