Inspired from the unrelenting determination and the pride of At-Taf, The Combat Squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine mourns five of its young members, who gained the honour of martyrdom in the operation at Qate' Balad in Salahuddin province, while fulfilling their sacred duty to defend the land, the people and the holy sites of Iraq, and to repel the terrorist and barbaric attack.

Their funeral was in a majestic procession that performed for them the rituals of the Zyarat and the funeral prayer, first at the Imam Al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrines then at Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. The funeral rituals were attended by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrines, Sayed. Ahmed Al-Safi, while their obituary was read several times within the holy shrine of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) as follow:

"In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return." There's no strength and no power except with the Almighty Allah. {And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,} (3:169) ... With deep grief and sorrow, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine mourns its righteous martyrs of the combat squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and congratulate them for attaining the martyrdom's blessing, asking the Almighty God to take them into His eternal peace and grant them with His mercy, indeed He is Kind and Merciful."

It is noteworthy that the fighting squad of Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has been involved in the battls of Balad and Dujayl, and has been assigned to combat duties during which it proved its field merit and ability, which it has gained through military exercises as well as its determination and faith derived from the commander of the army of Imam Al-Hussayn, Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them both), and has offered during this battle a group of martyrs.
