Crowds of mourners from inside and outside Iraq celebrated the the eve of the 20th of the holy month of Ramadhan at the shrine of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in Najaf, coinciding with his martyrdom anniversary.

The Imam Ali's (p) Holy Shrine witnessed a large influx of mourners, seeking the honor of Ziyarat, praying and commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful; Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).

Visitors revive these blessed nights with mourning councils, funeral processions, reading prayers and supplications, raising the Qur'an and holding Quranic forums.
