A medical team at Al-Kafeel Hospital successfully treats a young man suffering from a blockage in the brain cavities

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital successfully treated a young man in his twenties from Basra governorate suffering from a blockage in the brain cavities through an advanced endoscopic operation.

A specialist in neurosurgery at the hospital, Dr. Yahya Abdul Razzaq al-Juhaishi, said: "a patient from Basra governorate in the second decade of life, complains of severe pain in the head with constant vomiting, and his condition required careful medical examinations to find out the cause."

He added that"the tests revealed the presence of high brain pressure as a result of blockage in the cerebral cavities causing ascites, which is the accumulation of fluid in the sinuses and internal cavities."

"We have deliberately subjected the patient to advanced endoscopic intervention as an alternative to traditional operations that were previously performed, and we were helped by modern devices and technologies available in the operating theaters, after which the patient leaves in good health,"al-Juhaishi explained.
