A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital announced that it has succeeded in operating on cardiac abnormalities for children at high rates.
The director of the Cardiac Surgery Center at the hospital, Dr. Ahmed Aboudi, said that"the number of patients with congenital heart malformations has been increasing in society recently, and this malformation may be simple or complex, and each case has its appropriate treatment."
"Early screening of patients is an important and very effective factor in saving their lives, as delay causes them serious health complications,"he added.
He pointed out that"the recent successes were an operation performed on a 6-month-old girl who was suffering from heart abnormalities with infections and lung shrinkage and her weight does not exceed (3) kg, so she was prepared for the operation carefully".
Aboudi explained that "the operation was performed successfully for the baby, and we were able to repair the existing abnormalities in the heart without any health complications for her".
He stressed that"this case is one of thousands of cases received by the hospital, as we perform this type of operations periodically and with high success rates, thanks to the availability of modern capabilities and technologies".
