In pictures.. Crowds of visitors perform Eid al-Adha prayers at the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

Crowds of visitors performed the Eid al-Adha prayer on Monday morning, in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and the square between the Two Holy Shrines.

The head of the Religious Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Sheikh Salah al-Karbalai, said that "the Eid al-Adha prayer has been held more than once in the form of shifts in the holy courtyard, and in a way that does not affect the movement of visitors coming from inside and outside the province of Karbala".

"The square between the Two Holy Shrines also witnessed the performance of prayers led by a number of Sayeds and sheikhs in the department, with the participation of thousands of worshippers who flooded the square,"he added.

The believers prayed to Allah Almighty to spread security and safety throughout Iraq, to have mercy on the martyrs and to grant the wounded a speedy recovery.

The Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine has used its full means to receive the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) many days ago, to provide the best services to them during the day of Arafah and the days of Eid al-Adha, and to perform the special recommended acts and worship rituals with ease.
