The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine holds the second international Imamate week under the slogan (the prophecy and the Imamate are inseparable titles) and under the title (the program of imams - peace be upon them-in the education of the individual and the nation), for the period from 27/06/2024 to 04/07/2024.
The events of the first day witnessed the presence of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, its secretary general; Sayed Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, members of the board of directors and a number of its officials, in addition to official, academic and Hawza figures.
The events began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Sayed Haydar Gelokhan, followed by listening to the national anthem and the anthem of the holy shrine (the melody of Pride), and then reading Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq.
After that, a speech was delivered to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine by the Senior Official; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, and then a documentary film was shown about the activities of the first international Imamate week, a poem and honoring a group of figures who have a prominent impact in the scientific arena and who specialize in the subject of Imamate, in addition to the opening research.
The second international Imamate week includes the holding of 12 scientific conferences on the twelve infallible imams (peace be upon them), as the focus of each conference is one of the imams (peace be upon them), in addition to technical competitions, seminars and scientific workshops.
During the Imamate week, the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine seeks to devote the sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their biography in addressing the crises of the contemporary world, and to demonstrate the impact of the role of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in resolving intellectual doubts and countering deviant ideas.
