The army chief of staff commends the efforts of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine in serving the visitors of Ashura

The army chief of staff at the Ministry of Defense praised the efforts of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in serving visitors on the tenth day of the holy month of Muharram, the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

This came during the visit of the chief of staff of the Iraqi Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, assistant chief of Staff Lieutenant General Hamid anad Hammadi and their accompanying delegation to the Holy Shrine, and they were received by the commander of the Abbas squad (peace be upon him); Sayed Maytham al-Zaidi.

Hammadi said that "a delegation headed by the army chief of staff, the operations assistant, the Al-Meera assistant, the commander of the ground forces, and a number of managers, visited Karbala governorate to learn about the preparations of the governorate's Operations Command and the measures taken by the governorate to receive the visitors on the tenth of the month of Muharram.

During the delegation's visit to the holy shrine, Hammadi added that "great efforts are being made on the ground to serve the visitors of the tenth day of the holy month of Muharram, stressing that the intensive efforts contribute to the smooth running of the Ziyarat as planned".
