Doctors of Al-Kafeel Hospital successfully treat a woman who was threatened with paralysis

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital successfully treated a woman who was threatened with paralysis by performing an operation to stabilize her vertebrae.

The Lebanese doctor, Joseph Salama, said that"the medical team succeeded in performing a vertebral fixation operation and freeing the spinal cord of a 69-year-old patient who visited us as she suffers from difficulty moving and walking and was at risk of paralysis."

"After conducting the necessary medical examinations for the patient, we found a severe slip that caused her to have a narrowing of the cervical vertebrae and calcifications with cartilage, which led to compression of the spinal cord,"he added.

He pointed out that"the patient came to the operation carefully to avoid health complications during the operation, through which we were able to remove the slip and implant artificial cartilage instead of the damaged one".

Salama attributed, "achieving this success due to the presence of skilled and trained medical staff at the highest levels, along with the availability of modern technologies in the hospital, as it is considered one of the best international hospitals I have worked in in terms of technology, sterilization and hygiene".
