The Department of receiving gifts and vows provides various services to visitors of the Arba'een

The Department of receiving gifts and vows at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine offers a variety of services to visitors of Arba'een.

The head of the Department, Mr. Abbas al-Hakeem, said that"the Department of receiving gifts and vows consists of five divisions, and it is one of the important departments because of its direct interaction with visitors, as it has a set of tasks, including receiving gifts and donations from Arab and foreign visitors coming to the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon him), in addition to providing them with Blessed gifts.

He added that "gifts and financial donations received are recorded and documented by special receipts, and handed over to the finance affairs department after inventory, as for in-kind items such as gold and other gifts, are handled according to procedures followed at the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine, ensuring their arrival to the designated authority, while sacrifices are delivered to the Department of the host restaurant of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), who provides thousands of free meals to visitors on a daily basis."

He explained that "the department provides blessed gifts extracted from the honorable grid to the guests of the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine and donors, such as rings engraved with some words such as the names of Allah, the names of the Prophet, the holy imams (peace be upon them), rosaries and others".

Al-Hakeem pointed to the role of the Missing Objects Division of the department in "receiving all the lost items that are found inside the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine or in its surroundings, and it registers and classifies them according to their type, and makes efforts to communicate with the owners of the lost items, through advertising them, publishing their photos on its website and pages on social networking sites, while hiding confidential and personal information, in addition to calling the numbers registered on the lost items, if any, to hand over the lost items to their owners after confirming their identities, at the headquarters of the lost and found division.".
