The administrative assistant to the head of the Department, Engineer Mohammed al-Taweel, said that" the Department's plan for the Ziyarat Arba'een of Imam al-Hussayn(peace be upon him) includes three main axes, namely the service, organizational and security axis, "adding that"the service axis this year witnessed redoubled efforts, by strengthening the mechanisms in the department with additional mechanisms from the Directorate of Karbala municipality, including trucks and bulldozers to remove waste from the streets and alleys adjacent to the holy shrines."
He explained that " the department has allocated electric vehicles for transporting visitors and emergency cases to medical detachments, as well as trucks dedicated to transporting drinking water and ice for service processions deployed in the axes leading to the holy shrine, namely: Baghdad gate, Al-Hawra Street and Al-Alqami Street, in addition to the Central Square area between the Shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon them), to meet the needs of visitors."
"The maintenance division of the department has provided the central square with a system and spray guns that operate 24 hours a day, to help soften the atmosphere and reduce the effect of high temperatures,"he added.
Regarding the organizational aspect, he pointed out that "checkpoints have been set up to regulate the movement of visitors entering and exiting between the Holy Shrines, in addition to determining the routes for the entry and exit of processions to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, to ensure smooth movement and avoid crowds".
"The security plan includes tight measures on all axes, with the deployment of field detachments and continuous follow-up to ensure the safety of visitors," Al-Taweel said, stressing that "all plans are proceeding smoothly."
