The Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas complex(Peace be upon him), affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, announced the final statistics of its services provided to visitors of Arba'een this year.
The complex is a major service station for visitors heading to the holy city of Karbala via the Najaf road.
The member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine and the general supervisor of the complex, Mr. Jawad Al-Hasnawi, explained the details of these services, which reflect the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine's constant quest to provide everything the visitor needs on his journey to the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them).
Reception and accommodation of visitors
According to statistics, the complex received 576,000 visitors, who were provided with accommodation services. Such a large number of visitors reflects the great confidence that visitors attach to the complex, its ability to provide a comfortable and safe environment during their trip.
Various food services
In terms of nutrition,750,000 main meals were distributed during the lunch and dinner periods, along with thousands of breakfast meals, in addition to the distribution of 375,000 pieces of Samoon in electric ovens, and 675,000 juice cups. And to meet the visitors ' cooling needs,1,350 tons of crystaline ice and 390 tons of ice blocks were provided, in addition to 144,000 ice creams and 1,500,000 water cups. 70,000 kilograms of fresh fruits and 3,500 kilograms of sweets and pastries were also distributed.
Cultural and educational support
As part of the promotion of Quranic culture among visitors, 21,000 visitors benefited from the Stations of the Holy Quran Institute as part of the correct reading project, which was organized in front of the complex. The world cultural procession of the Department of Intellectual Affairs also witnessed a wide participation, with 15,518 visitors benefiting from it.
Medical care and health services
As for the health services, the Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas complex(Peace be upon him) provided medical care to 41,280 visitors, through various services that included emergency medical care, referrals to hospitals and others.
Special services for women
As for the visitors, the complex has prepared 115 preachers to serve women, where 9,500 visitors benefited from the correction of ablution, and 4,340 visitors from the religious questions. The reading of Surah Al-Fatiha and the other surahs was also corrected for 10,108 visitors. More than 1600 volunteers contributed to the provision of services of the Arba'een to the visitors of the complex.
Support of Service processions
The support was not limited to visitors only, as 2,433 service processions benefited from the distribution of ice from the two factories of the complex, which enhances cooperation and solidarity between the various entities involved in serving the visitors of Arba'een.
Volunteer participation
The volunteers also played a prominent role in providing these services, as 408 volunteers from the Qamar Bani Hashem volunteer Foundation(peace be upon him), in various specialties, participated in providing the service within the complex, and these volunteers actively contributed to facilitating the movement of visitors and providing logistical support to ensure the provision of everything the visitor needs.
The Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas complex(Peace be upon him) embodies a model of dedication in serving the visitors of Arba'een, by the members of the holy shrine from its various departments, along with volunteers men and women, through providing comprehensive services that take into account the spiritual, physical and cultural needs of visitors, and this great effort confirms the commitment of the holy shrine to provide the best services to ensure the comfort and safety of visitors during this great occasion.
