The citizens of Skardu city in the far north of Pakistan commemorate twice Ashura, how is that?

The delegation of the both holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) -currently in Pakistan- has participated in the Friday prayer held in the city of Skardu, which is full of the followers of the Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and the number of worshippers has reached almost 7000.

The delegation was received by the Friday prayer's leader in the city of Skardu, Sheikh Mohammad Ali Ja'fari the certified sheikh of the religious authority in Najaf, he has delivered a speech in the congregation to welcome the delegation of the holy shrines, thanking their presence through which they transfer the blessings of the holy city of Karbala to this city that is located in the far north of Pakistan.

Adding: "The population of this city and its surrounding villages is of 200.000 and 95% of them are followers of the Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) who are keen to perform the Hussayni rituals on time, but it has a specificity, as it is well known that the tragedy of At-Taf happened in the summer of the year 61 AH, so when its commemoration encounters winter time, the followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in this city held other rituals in the summer as condolences to the Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) similar to those they held during the month of Muharram during winter."

Stressing: "This city is one of the international cities, which citizens have great love and loyalty to Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them."

After performing Friday prayer, the member of the delegation of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), the historical researcher, Prof. Rashid Zmeyzam has delivered a word in which he thanked the hospitality, calling the almighty to accept their acts and bestow upon them safe and security, and praising their united word and their way of spreading the culture of the Islam from its source; the Messenger of Allah (prayers and Allah's peace be upon him and his holy Household) and his Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

A huge ceremony took place after, in which the banner of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) was raised in the courtyard of the mosque of the city of Skardu, where a Hussayni funeral took place with a significant presence, tears and lamentations to recall the painful tragedy of At-Taf.

It is worth mentioning that the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in collaboration with Al-Kawthar University and with the participation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, has held the cultural week that is the second of its kind culturally over the history in the Indian subcontinent after the Festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in India held for the third year in row by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and the first of its kind in terms of cooperation with a local university, as this week contributes in the education of the lovers of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) within a series of cultural weeks organized by the two holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) in various countries for the transfer of the pure thought of the holy prophet and his Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to all corners of the globe, to spread the peace and guidance and to ward to extremism that takes as slogan the fake Islam. This festival held in Islamabad was under the name of "breeze of Karbala", and was with the participation of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Kadhem and Imam Al-Jawad (peace be upon them) along with the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).
