The pavilion of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, at the Baghdad International Book Fair in its twenty-fifth session, witnessed a display of the scientific products issued by the holy shrine.
The head of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department at the holy shrine, Mr. Aqeel al-Yasiri, said: "the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine is keen to provide various scientific publications covering various intellectual and scientific fields in order to promote Islamic culture and provide intellectual content that serves researchers and interested people."
"The pavilion included the presentation of the two encyclopedias of the fatwa of defense and Friday sermons, which represent an important documentation of the events experienced by Iraq, and contribute to spreading awareness about the role of religious authority in guiding society,"he added.
He continued:"We also presented a set of scientific journals, which include refereed research in various scientific fields, from jurisprudence, Islamic thought, humanities and literature."
For his part, the official of the childhood and youth division of the Department, Mr. Hassanein Farouk, said:"the division displayed a number of publications for children and young people, including: Al-Rayaheen magazine on children's Affairs, and Haidara magazine for boys, in addition to a number of pictured books, within the Holy Shrine Pavilion."
"These publications contain educational stories inspired by the rich Islamic heritage, and aim to promote the love of knowledge and the spirit of innovation among this important segment,"he explained.
These cultural products come as part of the continuous efforts exerted by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to spread culture and knowledge among different age groups, with the aim of preparing a conscious and educated generation capable of contributing to building society.
