In response to the call of the supreme religious authority.. Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine launches a fundraising campaign to support the Lebanese people

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has launched a fundraising campaign to support the Lebanese people, in response to the call of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, following the recent events in Lebanon.

The head of the Religious Affairs Department at the holy shrine, Sheikh Salah al-Khafaji, said, "in response to the statement of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, the staff of the department, in addition to the logistics support division, began today, Tuesday, to receive material and in-kind donations through dedicated boxes placed in the courtyard of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and its surroundings and between the Two Holy Shrines under the title (relief of the Lebanese people)".

He added that" the Hussayni rites and processions Department has launched an expanded campaign to receive donations intended for the same purpose, "pointing out that"donations in kind and material will be stored in special warehouses, while safe channels have been organized to ensure that donations reach their beneficiaries in Lebanon."

On Monday, September 23, 2024, the Office of His Eminence supreme religious authority Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani issued a statement on the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, through which he expressed his solidarity with the Lebanese people and his condolences to them in their great suffering, and demanded that every effort be made to stop this ongoing barbaric aggression and protect the Lebanese people from its devastating effects.

The statement called on believers to do what contributes to alleviating their suffering and securing their humanitarian needs.

The general secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine issued (on Monday, September 23, 2024) a statement to prepare what is necessary to send urgent humanitarian aid to Lebanon, in coordination with the Iraqi government to facilitate the arrival of aid in light of the recent attacks that affected them.

These solidarity initiatives are part of the efforts of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people and comfort them in these difficult times.
