Sayed al-Safi explains the details of the relief campaign launched by the Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine to help the Lebanese people

The Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, explained the details of the relief campaign launched by the holy shrine to support the Lebanese people, after the recent attacks.

Sayed al-Safi said that a relief committee has been formed to provide aid through land convoys to Syria, and set up an relief center to provide support to the Lebanese displaced there, while another group of convoys is going to Beirut to establish a relief center for affected families, in addition to providing relief support through continuous flights from Baghdad to Beirut, and providing medical support through airspace to ensure that aid reaches various affected areas and groups as quickly as possible, indicating that the holy shrine will set up relief centers in a number of its facilities for the displaced in Karbala governorate.

The Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine launched the relief campaign after the call of the supreme religious authority in Najaf to do what contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese people and securing their humanitarian needs.

He added that the materials that the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine will provide as part of the campaign include food, medicines, clothes, mattresses and blankets to ensure that the basic needs of the affected Lebanese people are met.

His Eminence stressed that the campaign is open to the participation of citizens wishing to contribute, whether with financial or in-kind donations, and dedicated account numbers will be announced for that purpose, places for receiving aid have also been identified, and phone numbers have been provided for communication.

With regard to the medical participation, the Senior Official pointed out that the medical staff wishing to volunteer to treat the wounded, can coordinate with the Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital to provide their health services during the campaign.

At the end of his speech, His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi called on Allah the Almighty to protect the Lebanese people and to lift the plight from them.

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has allocated account numbers dedicated to collecting material donations and providing phone numbers to communicate with the Relief Committee, in a step to facilitate the participation of citizens wishing to contribute and enhance efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people in these difficult circumstances.
