How did the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine contribute to supporting the educational sector in Iraq?

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has dedicated a large part of its projects to supporting the educational sector by developing a comprehensive educational plan to promote this important sector.

The holy shrine started its first educational projects in 2013 with the opening of the Al-Ameed Educational Schools group of the Department of Education at the holy shrine.

The group includes 5 kindergarten schools, 15 primary and preparatory schools, equipped with the latest educational means to provide a suitable environment for students, benefiting more than 10 thousand students, under the supervision of 600 teachers.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine at the higher education level has initiated the establishment of the Al-Ameed and Al-Kafeel universities, as the Al-Ameed University includes multiple faculties, including (medicine - dentistry - nursing - pharmacy - education for girls), while the Al-Kafeel University includes faculties (Medicine - Law - technical engineering - medical and health technologies - dentistry-pharmacy).

The Al-Ameed and Al-Kafeel universities are considered role models in the field of education, as they have a developed infrastructure of Halls, laboratories and equipment.

At the level of rehabilitation institutes, the holy shrine has launched the Al-Kafeel Institute for speech and school rehabilitation, which is the first of its kind in Iraq, dedicated to the care of children with speech disorders and hyperkinesis, as it provides special speech Sessions and programs for rehabilitation and integration into education.

At the level of combating literacy, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine launched the literacy project (we learn to live) for adults, which helped hundreds of elderly people complete their education.

The holy shrine is committed to working in accordance with Iraqi law to achieve a renaissance in the educational sector, in addition to Seeking through its comprehensive plans to establish new academic institutions that contribute to the growth and development of Education.
