Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine invests clean energy in pumping water for the northern green belt project

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has invested clean energy technologies in the pumping of irrigation water and the operation of water basins within the northern green belt project.

The head of agricultural guides in the project, Mr. Abbas Mohammed, said that "the northern green belt project uses solar panels in the process of pumping water for the project through two stations, one of which has a capacity of 10 horsepower," indicating that "the benefit of installing solar energy systems in the project came to control the delivery of irrigation water to the farthest point."

"The project includes four basins, an area of one thousand square meters, all filled with water,"he added.

"13 palm lines have been planted along the project, the number of which has reached 3,850 palms, and it can be increased in the coming days, and 4,000 eucalyptus trees have been planted on the left side of the project to protect it from wind and dust that affect it,"Mohammed explained.

He pointed out that "the vegetables planted in the project are: radish with two types, spinach, cucumber, celery, basil and other vegetables".
