Al-Kafeel hospital doctors successfully remove a tumor from a patient's face

An Iraqi medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital announced the success of an operation to remove a tumor from the face of a patient in the third decade of life.

The specialist in maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Radwan al-Taie, said:" We had a successful surgery for a 36-year-old patient from Babylon governorate, we received her at the hospital suffering from a large tumor on the face, "pointing out that"after taking the radiographs, it was found that there was a tumor in the parotid salivary glands extended and surrounding the facial nerve.

"The surgical intervention included surgery of the salivary gland and parotid gland to completely remove the tumor while preserving the facial nerve in all its branches and grafting the area with self-fat taken from the patient's abdomen,"he added.

Al-Taie stressed that" the operation was very excellent and the patient made a full recovery after it, "pointing out that"this type of surgical interventions we perform at the head and Neck Surgery Center at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital; thanks to its advanced technologies and specialized medical staff."
