The condolences procession witnessed the participation of the secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Mortada Aal Dia-Uddin, the director of the Office of the Senior Official of the holy shrine; Sayed Afdhal al-Shami, a number of its officials, the servants of processions and Husseini bodies and a gathering of mourners.
"The people of Karbala used to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Al-Qasem son of Imam Musa Al-Kadhem (peace be upon them) through a unified condolences procession that brought together the Hussayni processions, bodies and parties in Holy Karbala, along with a gathering of mourners, to offer condolences at his holy shrine in Babylon Province,"al-Shami said.
He added that"the condolences procession is an annual tradition that the people of the holy city of Karbala have been keen to establish, in cooperation with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), which provided all the logistics to commemorate this painful anniversary".
For his part, the Special Secretary of the shrine of Al-Qasem(peace be upon him), Mr. Karim Hussein, said that "more than 50 condolences processions came from various Iraqi provinces to participate in this sad anniversary of Al-Qasem son of Imam Musa Al-Kadhem (peace be upon them)".
"We offer our thanks and appreciation to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for organizing the unified condolences procession of the people of Holy Karbala, and providing vehicles and logistical support to the mourners participating in the procession,"he added.
The delegation of the Al-Abbas's(P) holy shrine offered the banner of the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(Peace be upon him) to the administration of the shrine of al-Qasem (peace be upon him).
