The Engineering Projects Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced that the completion rates in the holy shrine library and Manuscript house project have reached about 65% .
"Work is continuing to complete the concrete structural structure of the building, which has reached the final stages of the last floor, in addition to the finishing works, which include wall cladding, and cutting with block material, up to the seventh floor,"said engineer Mustafa Ziad Al-Mankoshi.
"The current stages are witnessing the continuation of works in communications, Fire and cooling systems, as well as electrical works and water and sewer networks, according to approved engineering designs,"he added.
The total area of the holy shrine Library and Manuscript House Project located in the Bab al-Khan area of the holy city of Karbala is 1500 m2, while the built-up area is 1100 m2.
The project of the Library and House of Manuscripts is one of the vital projects that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine seeks to accomplish, with the aim of providing an integrated scientific edifice dealing with manuscripts and heritage books, and supporting the scientific and cultural movement.
