Within the Quranic project in Africa.. The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine holds Quranic forums in Madagascar and Ivory Coast

The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine organized Quranic forums in the countries of Madagascar and Ivory Coast, which come within the framework of the Quranic project on the African continent.

The activities of the project are supervised by the African Studies Center of the Department.

"The importance of these activities lies in strengthening cultural and religious ties between African communities, and spreading the spirit of love and brotherhood through interactive Quranic sessions, which contribute to educating the community about the importance of the Qur'an and the Ahl al-Bayt(peace be upon them),"said the project official, Mr. Dargham al-Ibrahimi.

He added that "the forums held in the countries of Madagascar and Ivory Coast witnessed a wide presence of followers and lovers of Ahl Al-Bayt(peace be upon them), and the participation of various segments of society, and the event included fragrant Quranic recitations, presented by readers and memorizers of the Holy Quran".

For his part, the official of the religious preaching unit at the center, Mr. Muslim al-Jaberi, said that "the center continues to organize Quranic programs, inside the African continent or in Iraq, for students of religious sciences from African communities.

"These Quranic forums aim to spread the knowledge of the Holy Quran, teach the correct reading of the glorious book of Allah, promote religious awareness and consolidate Islamic values,"he added.

The center is keen to maintain communication with African communities through organizing cultural, intellectual and religious events, and devotes its efforts to educating people in those cities.
