The president of Al-Kafeel University, Dr. Nawrasa al-Dahan, said:"the agreement with the University of Sheffield includes several items, including: training and development of teaching staff in the field of medical education and the establishment of joint scientific research, as well as organizing training courses for students.
He added that "the agreement represents a qualitative leap in the University's career, especially since it comes with a prestigious International University, and enjoys a high academic reputation in the UK".
For his part, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Kafeel University, Dr. Samer al-Hakak, said that " the agreement will contribute to the development of medical education and scientific research at the University," indicating that "it includes sending teaching staff for training in the United Kingdom, which will reflect positively on the health reality in Iraq."
In the same context, Dr. Hilal Al-Saffar, advisor to the president of the University for medical education, explained that "the agreement comes within a series of measures adopted by Al-Kafeel University to enhance the quality of Higher Education, openness to international universities and exchange experiences with them".
"This step is aimed at improving academic curricula and conducting joint research, which contributes to raising the University's global ranking,"he added.
Al-Kafeel university had previously concluded cooperation agreements with prestigious international universities, including: Michigan State University, Arido International University, and implemented many joint projects, including scientific conferences, workshops and joint research.
