Al-Kafeel Schools Division: honoring Iraqi abaya women stimulates commitment to chastity and national identity

The official of the Al-Kafeel women's religious schools division at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mrs. Bushra al-Kenani, confirmed that honoring the women wearing the Iraqi abaya stimulates commitment to chastity and national identity.

This came in her presence at the events of the festival of "As-Sibt al-Montadhar" in its tenth edition at the University of Baghdad, which included honoring more than (1000) female students wearing the Iraqi abaya inside the university campus.

The festival is organized by the Department of university and school relations of the Department of Public Relations at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in cooperation with the University of Baghdad and under the slogan (beacon of the dark world), for one day on the stage of the great university hall at the University.

"The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine seeks to promote religious and moral values in various circles of society, especially in university circles, by holding many events, including honoring the Iraqi abaya wearers on campus,"al-Kenani said.

She added that " honoring stimulates commitment to chastity, national identity, and Islamic teachings among the University female students," noting that "the abaya is not just a piece of cloth, but is a symbol of strength and modesty, and girls should adhere to the approach of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) and follow her good approach."

The festival's activities included the establishment of Al-Kafeel Youth Cultural stations, which include a book exhibition and another photo exhibition, and lasted for five days with the participation of a number of departments of the holy shrine.
