The Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine honors the winners of its cultural competitions on the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him)

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine honored the winners of its cultural competitions on the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him).

This came within the activities of its annual central celebration, which was held in the courtyard of the Qibla Gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him); in celebration of the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him).

The honoring included the winners of the imam al-Hassan (peace be upon him) birthday contest, which had 2,389 participants, and the number of correct answers was 677, of which 10 contestants were nominated, as well as the winners of the first al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him) short story contest, as they were honored by the member of the board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Afdhal al-Shami, and a number of its department heads and officials.

The head of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the holy shrine; Sayed Aqeel al-Yasiri, said that "the Mojtaba competition (peace be upon him) is being held for the first time and more than 61 writers from six Arab and Islamic countries participated in it: Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, in addition to Iraq".

He added that"the aim of establishing a short story competition about Imam al-Hassan al-Mojtaba (peace be upon him) is to encourage writers to be creative and compete in writing short stories that show the personality of Imam (peace be upon him) and his cultural and religious heritage".
