The start of the Eighth edition of the Annual Cultural Festival celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him)..

After Maghrib and Isha prayers of the Thursday 14th of the month of Ramadan 1436 AH corresponding to the 2nd July 2015, the Eighth edition of the Annual Cultural Festival celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), held by the people of the city Al-Hilla was launched under the auspices of the two General Secretariats of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).
The opening ceremony of the festival, which is held under the slogan: "Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba, the glorifier of the faithful and the beacon of Mujahideen" in the courtyard of the shrine of "Rad Shams [sun's return]" in the city of Al-Hilla, was attended by two delegations of the holy shrines and the Shiite Endowment in the Babil province, and a large number of religious, cultural, academic and media personalities.
The ceremony started with the recitation of verses of Holy Quran by the reader Sheikh Mohsin Taher Al-Rimahi, then the attendance read surat fatiha in memory of the martyrs followed by the rituals of a flag raising ceremony of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him).
Then a group of the volunteers of the popular mobilization presented a military parade in which they raised the flag of "Labbayka ya Hussayn". Then the President of the high body of the Al-Hilla project, the city of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) the Engineer Hassan Ali Al-Hilli welcomed on behalf of all people of Hilla city the attendees and thanked their presence and participation.
Then, Sheikh Ali Al-Fatlawi delivered the word of the two General Secretariats of the two holy shrine followed by a poem of Dr. Wisam Hassan Al-Obeidi, after which Sayed. Aqeel Abd Al-Hussayn Al-Yassiri, member of the preparatory committee of the festival announced the results of the scientific research contest about Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him).
The band of the two holy shrines sang religious stanzas appropriate with this auspicious occasion, followed by honour ceremony of the heroes of the elderly volunteers of the popular mobilization in the city of Hilla and some of the present personalities.
After that the attendees visited the photo exhibition that includes a number of the paintings of painters from the city of Al-Hilla in which they expressed the heroism of the Iraqi people who volunteered for Jihad.
