The head of the Department, Mr. Nasser Hussein Miteb, said that "the oases of the green belt witnessed a large influx of Iraqi families from inside and outside the province of Karbala, on the days of Eid al-Fitr."
"The holy shrine has provided all the requirements to facilitate the presence of families in the project's oases by creating green spaces, rest areas and recreational areas,"he added.
For their part, the families praised the efforts of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in developing and sustaining the Green Belt project, which is a real outlet away from the pressure of work and overcrowding in the city.
The Southern Green Belt project is a natural outlet for Iraqi families, as it receives families from inside and outside Karbala governorate on occasions and holidays, and provides a quiet atmosphere and large green spaces, with integrated entertainment and Organizational Services.
