The start of the evening activities of the central graduation ceremony for Iraqi university students

The Al-Ameed Educational Complex of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine witnessed the launch of the evening activities of the central graduation ceremony for students of Iraqi universities in its fifth edition.

The graduation ceremony of students of Iraqi universities (the fifth batch on the guidance of the moon), the division of university and school relations of the Department of Public Relations at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, is held within the national Al-Kafeel youth project, with the participation of about 5 thousand students representing 64 universities from different governorates of Iraq.

The ceremony was attended by the Senior Official of the holy shrine; His Eminence Ahmad al-Safi, a number of its board members, heads of departments and officials, as well as academic figures and parents of students.

The events began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reader Rafi al-Amiri, and then listening to the Iraqi national anthem, the anthem of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine (the Pride's melody), and a speech of the Senior Official of the Holy Shrine, followed by the speech of the participating universities delivered by the representative of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research and the president of Diyala University, Dr. Tahseen Hussein, and a speech for graduate students.

Dr. Abbas al-Deda al-Mousawi, member of the board of Directors of the holy shrine, said, "since the Iraqi academic scene has shown us models of graduation ceremonies that produce educational and social violations, as well as ideological provocations with activist messages, which overthrow human humanity, reverence, science and education, since that time we have presented at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine this counter model, in which we have preserved the reverence of the student, the prestige of Science and the status of the role of Science and scientists, and its holiness in the hearts of its people and in the minds of our society".

He added that "this model was reconciled by our students and they joined it from 64 universities distributed on the map of Iraq, from North to South and from West to East, with all their differences, diversities and differences to be united by the address of Iraq, where identity, belonging and loyalty and where the verse of that unification and its address is the Supreme religious Authority; Sayed al-Sistani and perpetuate Iraq and its unity".

The evening period will witness poetry and chants, a theatrical performance entitled Hope, a video presentation telling an inspiring success story, as well as honoring people of determination, families of martyrs, and university presidents.

Through this ceremony, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine aims to celebrate graduates, provide a distinguished model for graduation ceremonies befitting university students, and Crown and conclude their academic career at the holy shrines.
