The deputy secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Mr. Abbas Musa Ahmed, stressed that the graduation ceremony of Iraqi university students represents an opportunity to promote Islamic values in the hearts of students.
This came during his attendance at the graduation ceremony of Iraqi university students (the fifth moon-based batch), which was held by the University and School Relations Division of the public relations department at the holy shrine, within the national Al-Kafeel youth project, with the participation of about 5 thousand students representing 64 universities from various governorates of Iraq.
Ahmed said:"the central ceremony for Iraqi university students aims to correct the image marketed by some media and social media platforms about graduation ceremonies offensive to the university campus, as well as to promote the authentic Islamic values in the hearts of students.
"The graduating students represent hope for the promising future of Iraq, which depends on them through their contribution to its construction and service through various government institutions,"he added.
He continued, " the fifth Central graduation ceremony witnessed the participation of about 5 thousand students from 64 universities from various Iraqi provinces," stressing that "the ceremony witnessed qualitative jumps in the number of participants since the start of the first edition".
The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine aims to celebrate graduates, provide a distinguished model for graduation ceremonies befitting university students, and culminate and conclude their academic career at the holy shrines.
