The Abbas's (p) Squad begins securing the pilgrims' caravans along the land route

The Abbas (peace be upon him) Squad has begun implementing the plan to secure the pilgrims' convoys along the land route for the 1446 AH season, with the participation of more than a thousand members from its various units and formations.

The Squad commander; Sayed Maytham al-Zaydi, said: "For the eleventh consecutive year, the Abbas's (p) Squad has been a key component in implementing the plan to secure the 75-kilometer land pilgrimage route, which was devised by the Karbala Operations Command with the participation of over a thousand personnel from various units and formations of the Squad."

He added, "It is the responsibility of the Squad's personnel to secure the road extending from the al-Faj area, passing through al-Nukhayb, to the al-Habariyah area, while providing internal and external protection for the route, in addition to securing the depth of the desert; to ensure the safety of the guests of the Merciful in coordination with the other security units."

He explained, "In addition to the security effort, the Squad provides various services to the pilgrims by offering medical teams and mobile ambulances."

Al-Zaydi explained that "the team will remain on high alert to complete the second part of the plan, which involves the reverse convoy of the pilgrims who have performed their rituals and their safe return to their homeland."
