Using endoscopic technology, Al-Kafeel Hospital successfully performed a surgery to treat a torn cruciate ligament

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital successfully performed a procedure to treat a torn cruciate ligament and cartilage in a patient using endoscopic technique.

The orthopedic and joint surgery specialist at the hospital, Dr. Mohammed Saad al-Haris, mentioned, "We performed a successful surgery using endoscopic technique on a 35-year-old patient from Baghdad, who suffers from a torn cruciate ligament and cartilage due to a sports injury," explaining that "the surgery included reconstructing the cruciate ligament and repairing the meniscus."

He added that "the advanced equipment at Al-Kafeel Hospital enabled us to successfully perform the surgery, and the patient was able to walk after the operation, after which a medical rehabilitation program began to restore the stability of his knee."
